THE KEY PARAMETERS OF OUR INVESTMENT POLICY
The permitted investments are specified in the Occupational Pension Ordinance (OPO 2). According to this ordinance, investments must offer the necessary security, risk distribution, yield and liquidity. Like all other pension funds in Switzerland, Integral is obliged to have an investment policy that allows it to meet its obligations reliably at all times.
The investment success of the Integral pension fund is based on an investment strategy where real assets make up 60 percent of the total assets. The aim is to achieve a conversion rate and an interest rate above the statutory minimum.
In contrast to bonds, shares are more heavily exposed to fluctuations on the financial markets and particularly to trading on stock exchanges. The return on investments can vary significantly from year to year. However, the expected long-term return is much higher than in the case of an investment strategy with a large proportion of nominal values. The higher the proportion of shares in the assets, the greater the potential fluctuation in the funding ratio of a pension fund. However, much better performance can be expected in the long term.
